[Top] PRAYER FOR THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Lord Jesus this world is filled with evil spirits. To encounter them my strength is not sufficient. I am weak, without the power of your Holy Spirit I am unable to live a pure life. The evil, which is within me, draws me again and again towards sin. I need the flames of the Holy Spirit to burn the strength of sin, which prevents me from growing into fullness of life. Cleanse my soul, mind and body through your precious blood. Help me to love as you loved, forgive as you forgave, pray as you prayed, bear all the trials as you bore and live as you lived. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and transform me into your own dwelling place. Pour upon me the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Give me your grace to live as your witness. Through your infinite goodness protect us. May those who travel by air road and water experience your protecting hand. Help us not to be in a hurry but control our speed. We sprinkle your precious blood on us, our fellow travelers, on the vehicle the path we take and the vehicles, which will be ahead of us or follow us. Protect us on the highways and by ways. Be with my employer and co-employees. Protect us from all mishaps. Help me not to waste my hard earned money on useless things and bad habits. Have mercy on those who are jobless and grant them a suitable job. Protect me and free me from the snares of the devil. Thank you for listening to my pleadings. Although I sinned against you and crucified you, you did not turn away from me but said "I forgive you' 'I love you when people wanted to stone the woman caught in adultery, you addressed her with love and kindness. You forgave her with a gentle warning not to sin again. My heart is seeking for pure love for I have experienced the rejection from those whom 1 loved and loved me. Foolishly many of us run after Carnal love and our souls are never satisfied. Jesus my Crucified Saviour, I find my true lover in you. You gave your life for the love of me. "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" Jn. 15: 13 Fill our hearts with your divine love, so that we may love others as you loved us. This bubbling life has its Own advantages and disadvantages. I am prone to the influence of the wortd and the evil spirit. May I not be a victim of immorality, impurity cruelty homosexuality, alcohol, and other evil habits. Give me a pure heart, a pure mind and a pure body. May I have good friends to lead me on the right path to contemplate your love for me and sing your praises Jesus Give me the protection of your precious blood so that I may have good influence On other youth and together we may build a better world where your values prevail. Jesus my God and Redeemer, bless the child I bear and through the merits of your holy mother whom you deigned to make worthy as an immaculate Virgin, to bear you in her most pure womb, protect my child and myself from all evils of soul and body. Burn with your divine flames my sinful nature and cleanse me with your precious blood. Help me to pass on to my child the messages of love, peace and harmony. When the time arrives, give me strength for a happy delivery and a gift of a healthy baby. Grant to it the grace of soon being born again to the spiritual life in the holy Sacrament of Baptism. You were ever faithful to me but I sinned against you. I depended more on my physical strength and alert mind, forgetting that they were gifts from you. Kindly pardon me. Now I am aging and experiencing physical weakness and my memory is failing. I surrender myself completely in your hands and walk with you one day at a time. Take away all the sinful desires in me and may I be satisfied with all that I have been given by you through my dear ones. Grant me good health, so that I may not be a burden to my family. Give me patience and may I not hurt others by my remarks and demands. Let me grow old graciously so as to reach the place you have prepared for me in your father's house to dwell with you forever. [Top] He sent his word, and healed them. (Ps 107: 20) Lord, Jesus my Healer, I am grief-stricken in my illness. I am disheartened as many physicians have lost hope in me. Heal me Jesus, as you have healed the sick and deceased. Absolve all my sins which have caused these ailments. Wash me by the power of your Cross and Blood, and grant me good health. Console my family members who are saddened due to my sickness. Heal all those who are suffering from various diseases. Thank and Praise you Lord for granting me good health. (Jn 14: 27) Christ my Comforter, Numerous worries and troubles have taken away tranquility in me, in my family and in my workplace. I am exhausted of day-to-day pains and struggles. At times I feel this life is enough for me. Christ, My Lord, these pains and troubles are of my own making. Forgive me out of your mercy and kindness. I firmly believe in your words 'I give my peace unto you, let not your heart be troubled'. You alone have the answers to all my struggles. Bless all those who are in deep pains and have lost their peace of mind. Bribes, recommendations and corruptions have crushed my spirit down. my unfailing friend Jesus I have firm faith in you. My parents have taken immense pains to bring me up and I want to care for them in their old age. Lord have mercy on me, forgive all my sins and grant me a good job. Let me not take deviations in life to earn my livelihood. Let me walk in the right path. Help all those who are without jobs. Grant us your strength to accomplish the task we undertake. I feel sorry for squandering the money and for not setting aside one fourth of my income for Your work. Save me, for I am unable to repay my debt. There is nothing impossible to you Lord. [Top] PRAYER TO GET RID OFF BAD HABITS Fear not: for I am with you ( Is 43: 5) Christ my redeemer, Lord, I have succumbed to bad habits out of my human limitations. I have failed in my attempts to get rid of these vices. I have become a slave of my own weaknesses. Consequently, I am suffering from ailments. I have pained my family members and relatives. I have become a traitor. Confer on me your forgiveness and give me your new life just as you brought Lazarus out of his bondage. wash me throughtly with your precious blood and restore me with good health and fill me with good health. Bestow on me the gift of self-control and free all those who have become slaves to bad habits. Praise you Father, Praise you Jesus, and Praise you Holy Spirit. [Top] The Lord preserves the strangers and relieves the widows (Ps 146: 9) Merciful Jesus, you ordained that it is not good for man to be alone and you created woman as his life- partner. I am lonely and full of sorrow as I have lost my life- partner. I have none as my own. I feel I am utterly worthless. Suicidal thoughts often haunt me. Save me from such thoughts and instil new strength and hope in me. Let me not be a burden to anyone. Let your thoughts accompany me while at sleep. Be a solace to all widows. [Top] Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath ( Eph 4 : 26 ) Forgiving Jesus, I have often hurt people due to my rage. Make me an instrument of your peace and give me the strength to reconcile when I hurt others. Where there is hatred let me bring your love, where there is sin your pardon, where there is despair your hope, where there is darkness, light and where there is sadness your joy. Give me the gift of Holy Spirit to understand rater than to be understood, to love rather than to be loved. We receive much only when we give, forgiven when we forgive and have eternal life when we dieto ourselves. may all people with uncontrollable anger experience your healing touch. Give me the grace to love, to forgive, to pray, to know and keep away from satanic ways and to live according to your ways. Let me speak only kind words with others. Uproot my sinfulness. Let me hate the sinful ways and lead a life of purity. Give me the grace to spread your message and to lead people to your ways. Bless and love every group. Ordain me to use the gifts of the Spirit to heal people, to drive away demons. Take away every blocks that hinder me from spreading your message. Let me live for you alone till my dying day. [Top] It is in the name of Jesus, in his blood, in his cross, death and resurrection, with the power of the Holy Trinity, with the power of the Holy Spirit we can cease all the demoniac powers, ailments, suffering, despairs, and sorrows. We can gain control over time with the power of Christ who has authority over wind, water and light. With the healing power of Jesus we can get rid off all our slothfulness and selfishness. We can conquer all our anger, defeats, doubts, unfaithfulness, falsehood, lustfulness, jealousy, worries, hatred cruelty justice, selfishness, drunkenness, alcoholism, shyness, fearfulness in the name of Jesus and Holy Spirit. We can imbibe the gifts of the Spirit such as love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, peace, self- control and stillness. Satan has no power over me, my family members, friends, relatives, enemies and over my works, for now through Christ I am the temple of the Holy Spirit. All the satanic tricks will vanish before the power of the blood of Christ. Thank you Jesus the only Son who conquered death and continue to live. Dear Holy Spirit, consecrate me so that I live with Christ; with the power of his prayers. Guide all my actions; where I should go, what I should speak, how I should live. Strengthen my weaknesses so that I live as Christ's witness, loving my neighbors. Let me not go astray form Christ whatever be the circumstances. For as much as we know that we were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Christ. (1 Pet 1:18,19) Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Cor 3:17) Praise you Father, Praise you Jesus, and Praise you Holy Spirit. Dear all-knowing Jesus, you have healed my inner wounds with Holy blood from the time of my conception. Wipe away all my inner pains. I have wounded you by my insults, dissatisfactions, lethargy, lustfulness, loneliness, guilt feelings, doubt, suicidal thoughts, fears, despairs, arrogance, low self-image, self- pity, drunkenness, and addictions.
