Regional Youth Meeting at Divine Call, Mulki (Mangalore)

Mulki, Nov 6- 2009 : Regional Youth Meeting was held at Divine Call, Mulki on 4th Nov, 2009. 46 members were present from all the 11 doiceses of Karnataka.
The meeting began with the paryer conducted by Regional Youth President Mr. Pramod A. After the prayer, he welcomed all the members and read the agenda of the day.
"Know each other ", an introduction activity was conducted by Fr Franklin,RYD. Rev. Fr Divya Paul, the Youth Director of Bangalore Diocese spoke on " YOUTH REALITY TODAY"
The directors of 11 dioceses reported the youth work of their dioceses.
Mr. Santhosh who visited Taize for three months spiritual experience shared his experience.
Mr. Sajish the national ICYM president spoke on YUVAGRAM-Nagpur land
which is donated to the ICYM by Nagpur Bishop.
Mr. Shinto briefed about the Survey in the region for the forthcoming
CBCI meeting.
Mr. pramod spoke about the visits of REXCO in the various dioceses.
Fr. Franklin briefed the regional programmes and its implementation.
He also briefed about National Extra Ordinary General Body meeting and
regional role in making it success.
Decisions of the meeting by the directors:
- Next meeting at Chaitanya-Shimoga from Jan 24th -25th,2010
- Regional youth convention at Bellary in AUGUST 2010.
In the evening at 5.30 PM, Fr Franklin celebrated the EUCHARIST and invited youth to commit their lives positively for the good of the youth ministry. "Give up negativity, looking positively should be our policy. Let us build the kingdom of God with zeal in our lives", he said.
