March 20th and 21st 2010 : Vasai Sainagar open air retreat in Konkani

On Saturday 20th
4 pm to 5 pm : praise and worship by Fr Franklin and Bro. William
5pm to 7.30 pm : Word of God which brings us out of crisis and brings closer to Christ Luke 5:1-11. Fr Franklin preached and witnessed his experience with the word and with the world. He narrated various biblical incidents which give hope to us today.
7.30 pm to 9 pm : Healing Adoration was conducted by Fr Franklin and Bro. William. Narrated the incident from Mattew 8:1-4 about the healing from leprosy.
Special prayers for the Vasai Konkani association office bearers were held.
Then the blessed bread was distributed to the participants. More than 1500 participants were present.
On Sunday 21st
4pm to 5 pm : Praise and worship by Fr Franklin and Bro. William
5 pm to 7.15 pm : Holy Mass offered by Fr Franklin in which he preached how sin enters in Family life, Youth life, in Social life. He explained with example about danger of the sin, only in Jesus there is forgiveness for sins. Kingdom of God can be opened with only two keys i.e; Repent and Believe. He stressed the importance of the Sacraments in Catholic faith.
7.15 pm to 9 pm : Healing and anointing adoration was conducted by Fr Franklin.
He spoke how Jesus removed our curses. Even now when we go against Word of God we are attacked by curses
- Against God Exodus 20:1-3; 23:25; Romans 1:18-32
- Against Parents Exodus 20:12; Sirach 3:1-17
- Against God�s chosen one�s Psalm 105:15; Hebrews 13:7,17
Then he prayed for the children, youth, married couples, renewed their vows of Sacrament of matrimony.
Bishop of Vasai Most Rev. Dr. Felix Machado blessed the participants.
From 9 pm to 9.30 pm, thanksgiving programme was held in which Bishop of Vasai and Mr. Albert W. D�Souza were present. Mr. Albert spoke on need of Career Guidance for our children. Bishop Felix Machado appreciated the good work of Vasai Konkani Welfare Association. He applauded their hard work towards keeping Konkani speaking people and their culture together. Mr. Ancy, the secretary of the Vasai Konkani Welfare Association compeered the programme. He introduced the Office bearers to the Bishop and the dignitaries those were present on the stage. He thanked the preacher who was honored by the Bishop. Also he thanked all those who supported this retreat.
