January 31, 2021 : On the day of the Dedication of the Sacred Heart Cathedral of the Diocese of Shimoga, newly built 14 Stations of the Cross were blessed by His Excellency Most Rev. Joseph Arumachadatt, Bishop of Diocese of Bhadravati.

Parish Priest of Cathedral Fr Gilbert Lobo together with his parishioners welcomed Bishop Jospeh. Then the Bishop blessed the stations of the Cross in the presence of a good number of parishioners.

Later he celebrated thanksgiving Holy Eucharist together with Fr Francis Fernandes, Fr Gilbert Lobo, Fr Biju Thomas, Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque, Fr M.J. Jacob, Fr Balaraj and Fr Pius D'Souza.

Fr Francis Fernandes preached a meaningful homily. Parish Priest Fr Gilbert Lobo thanked Bishop Joseph and felicitated him.

Rev. Fr Gilbert Lobo, Parish Priest of Sacred Heart of Cathedral took lots of initiatives to give a facelift for the Cathedral parish in the last six years of his tenure. A beautiful entrance, Grottos of Mother Mary & St. Anthony, new structure to the campus are fruits of his dedicated Service.
