Shivamogga, April 6, 2025: Fr. Franklin D'Souza and his team led a two-day Lenten retreat on April 5th and 6th at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga.
The retreat began on April 5th at 5:00 p.m. with the Rosary, led by Fr. Franklin D'Souza and his team. At 5:30 p.m., Fr. Franklin D'Souza offered Holy Eucharist and preached a sermon on "setting right one's conscience," based on Mark 6:17-29. At 7:30 p.m., Fr. Franklin D'Souza led the healing adoration. Prolife Manjula Joy and Bro. Kiran (music) assisted with the adoration.
On April 6, at 9:00 a.m., Fr Franklin D'Souza led the Holy Rosary. Then he and Bro. Kiran led the praise and worship. At 9:45 a.m., Prolife Manjula Joy spoke on "Forgiveness." A song followed at 10:45 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., Fr. Franklin D'Souza prepared the faithful for confession. At 12:00 p.m., confessions were organized in the church. Meanwhile, the Blessed Sacrament was exposed for the faithful.
At the end of the confessions, Fr. Franklin D'Souza held a healing session for the faithful. Lunch was served at 1:30 p.m.
After lunch, at 2:00 p.m., Bro. Kiran led the praise and worship. Then Prolife Manjula Joy gave a talk on follow-up. At 3:00 p.m., Fr. Gilbert Lobo celebrated the Holy Eucharist, and Fr. Franklin D'Souza preached the homily. At the end of the Holy Eucharist, the Rector of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga, thanked the retreat team and the faithful.
