Shivamogga, October 8, 2024 :The Shimoga Diocesan Service of Communion (DSC) conducted an Intercessory Adoration from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on October 6, 2024, at Good Shepherd Church, Gopala, Shivamogga.
In the morning at 8:30 a.m., Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza, Youth Director and DSC Spiritual Director, celebrated the Holy Eucharist with Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque, Parish Priest of Gopala, Shivamogga.
Following the Mass, Fr Franklin D'Souza met with the ICYM, YCS/YSM, and addressed and motivated them.
Intercessory Adoration began in the afternoon.
The Blessed Sacrament was exposed at 2:30 p.m., followed by Praise and Worship led by Fr Franklin D'Souza until 3:30 p.m. He elaborated on the significance of Intercession, drawing from 2 Chronicles 20:1-20. Mr. Davidraj, DSC Coordinator, spoke on the efficacy of Intercessory Prayer.
From 3:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., DSC members and the Good Shepherd Parish Prayer team led the Intercession.
The Intercession incorporated Praise and Worship, Rosary, Bible reading (Psalms 1, 23, 50, 51, 90 after each decade), and Divine Mercy Rosary.
The first decade was dedicated to the Diocese, the second to Mount Carmel Deanery, the third to Little Flower Deanery, the fourth to Holy Family Deanery, and the fifth to Maria Vianney Deanery. General Intercessions were also offered.
Fr Franklin D'Souza led healing prayer based on Isaiah 38:1-20 from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m.
DSC members present included Mr. David Raj, Coordinator DSC (Cathedral), Mr. Francis D'Mello, DSC member (Cathedral), Mr. Wilson, DSC member (New Town, Bhadravati), Mr. John Lobo, and Ms. Mary, DSC Intercession In-charge of the Diocese (Sagara). Deacon Rev. Nishanth D'Costa led the Praise and Worship.
Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque expressed gratitude to Father Franklin D'Souza and the DSC team of the Diocese of Shimoga.
Fr Franklin D'Souza thanked Fr Stephen Albuquerque for organizing this Intercessory prayer in their Parish.
Coordinator Mr. Davidraj extended his appreciation to all participants in the Intercessory Adoration.
