Bengaluru, February 28, 2025: The Karnataka Regional Service of Communion (KRSC), in collaboration with the Logos Retreat Centre, Bengaluru, organized a religious sisters' retreat from Sunday, February 23, to Friday, February 28, 2025, focusing on healing, deliverance, exorcism, and the development of charisms.
Subject matter experts provided instruction to attendees on theological topics grounded in scripture and Church doctrine. The retreat details are as follows:
Fr. Jose Vettiyankal VC, Director of the Logos Retreat Centre, Bengaluru, facilitated sessions on fellowship with the Holy Spirit and the retreat's objectives. The program included revisiting the original vocation and charisms of the religious order, confession preparation, physical healing and deliverance, the reception and application of charisms (specifically the interpretation of dreams, visions, and the word of knowledge), an interactive exorcism and deliverance session, anointing with the Holy Spirit, and a concluding anointing session. He also presided over the adoration.
Fr. Franklin D'Souza, KRSC Spiritual Director, addressed the formation of conscience, the power of God's word and leadership, repentance, holiness, healing the brokenhearted, the Eucharist and forgiveness, building healthy relationships, ministering God's word, inner healing sessions, evangelization through charisms, modern media and intercession, the Church and Magisterium, the discernment and decision-making process, and the Holy Spirit.
Mr. Cherian Ramapuram, KRSC Coordinator, addressed the significance of faith, spiritual gifts, their manifestations, and charisms; the critical need for evangelization and outreach initiatives; and the effective implementation of evangelization through prayer groups, home visits, and catechetical instruction.
Fr. George Poonattu VC, Superior of Logos Community, presented on the following topics: vows of poverty, obedience, and chastity; the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary; ecclesial institutions; the significance of our anointing and spiritual life; community life; and the concept of white martyrdom. Fr. Albert VC inspired on the Ten Commandments, the nature of sin, and its ramifications. Fr. Aloysius SDB addressed inner wounds, their various manifestations, and potential remedies; he also led the inner healing adoration. Fr. Tony Moonnupidikayil VC's presentation focused on religious life as a testament to Christ Jesus.
Bro. Raghu spoke on God's love revealed by the Father, rekindling the Holy Spirit. Sr. Ciji gave a testimony and shared her personal transformation by the Holy Spirit, and Sr. Ann Celine preached on the seven cardinal sins and the five precepts of the Church. Bro. Allwyn Stewart helped with praise and worship through music ministry. Ms. Joy helped project the word of God on the screen. Bro. Carol, Bro. Ravi, Sr. Rita, and Bro. William volunteered to ensure the retreat's success.
KRSC Coordinator Bro. Cherian Ramapuram conveyed the organization's gratitude to the Logos Retreat Centre and the KRSC Episcopal Advisor Bishop Robert Miranda, Bishop of Diocese of Gulbarga for their comprehensive support. Fr. Franklin D'Souza expressed his appreciation to both the participants and the staff whose efforts contributed to the retreat's success.
