October 28, 2024 : His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Duming Dias, Bishop of the Diocese of Karwar, inaugurated the Kannada Family Convention "Pavitramara Mahotsava," a week-long event at the Divine Retreat Centre in Muringoor, Kerala from October 27th to November 1st.

At 7:30 a.m., Rev. Fr. Philiph Nedumthurthil VC, Superior of Vincentian Community, welcomed the Bishop Duming Dias, on behalf of the Divine Retreat Centre. The convention was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. KRSC Spiritual Director Rev. Fr. Franklin D'Souza from the Diocese of Shimoga was present.

Bishop Duming Dias celebrated the Holy Eucharist and preached a sermon on, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." (Acts 1:8).

Together with the Divine Retreat Centre priests; Fr. Augustine Vallooran VC, Fr. Philiph Nedumthurthil VC, Fr. John Kanichery VC, Fr. Mathew Naikaparambil VC, Fr. Franklin D’Souza, and other preachers from Karnataka, namely; Fr. Praveen from Mysore, Fr. Nelson Machado, Fr. Xavier from Belgaum, Sr. Maria Sangeeta, Bro. Mohan from Bangalore, Bro. Mahime Raj from Bangalore, Bro. Lawrence Babu from Bangalore, Bro. Paul Jagadeesh from Mysore, Bro. Nirmal Raj from Bangalore, Bro. Amruth from Bangalore, Musicians; Bro. Deepak, Bro. Mariadas, Bro. Vinod from Bangalore, Bro. Bhaskar from Bangalore, Bro. Abhishek from Bellary are preaching the Retreat.

From Karnataka, Bro. Peter Augustine Mohan is the key person organizing this convention under the leadership of Divine Retreat Centre Director Rev. Fr. Augustine Vallooran VC.
