Chitradurga, Hiriyur, August 15, 2023: Assumption School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District celebrated 77th Independence day today.

Program began at 7:30am. Manager and Corresspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza was the Chief guest. Assumption English High School HM Rev. Fr Alphonse Nelson D'Souza, Assumption Kannada High School HM Mr. Henry Crasta, Assumption English Primary School HM Sr. Martha and Assumption Kannada Primary School HM Sr. Veronica were on the dais.

Program began with Prayer song by Assumption English Higher Primary School students (AEHPS). Then Vande Mataram sung by Assumption English High School students. Manager and Corresspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza hoisted the flag. Then the students had a parade to honour the National Flag. Student Divyashree welcomed the dignitaries on the dais. Students gave the message of Independence day through the patriotic dances and singing.

Chief guest Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza in his message wished the staff and students. He said that Independence comes always with responsibility, disciplined life and above all love for the parents, School, the society and the nation.

Sir Prabhakar thanked the dignitaries. Student Deepti compered the program.
