Davanagere, Harihara, September 7, 2023: Ninth day’s Novena at Our Lady of Health, Minor Basilica, Harihara, Davanagere District, Diocese of Shimoga, began at 5:30pm with Rosary, Procession and floral homages to Harihara Matha. Then Basilica Rector & Parish Priest Rev. Fr George K. A led the Novena.

At 6:30pm Most Rev. Dr Robert Miranda, Bishop of Diocese of Gulbarga celebrated Holy Eucharist. He preached his homily on the theme: “Mother Mary is an inspiration for hospitality".

In his homily explained how Blessed Virgin Mary became an inspiration for hospitality in her life. He said that her visit to Elizabeth, then her quality of helping without complaining is really an inspiration for all of us.

Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga concelebrated the Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr Roman Pinto, Rev. Fr Venil D'Silva, Rev. Fr Richard SJ, Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza, Rev. Fr Rayappa, Rev. Fr Ronald Furtado OCD, Fr Ronald D'Cunha, Rev. Fr Shanthraj SJ, Rev. Fr Prashanth OFM CAP, Rev. Fr William OFM CAP, Rev. Fr Alphonse Lobo, Rev. Fr Duming Dias, Rev. Fr Alvin Stanislaus, Rev. Fr George K. A and other priests concelebrated the Holy Eucharist.

Rector of the Minor Basilica Rev. Fr George K A thanked Bishop Robert Miranda. Bishop Francis Serrao SJ on behalf of the Diocese of Shimoga honoured Bishop Robert Miranda.

After the Mass Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza, Rev. Fr Roman Pinto led the healing prayers and benediction and priests prayed over the pilgrims.
