March 28th 2014 Asian Youth Day’s 5th Preparatory meeting began at Daejeon – South Korea. Day began with 7:30am Holy Mass. 9:30 Local Organising Committee members Fr. Park Jinhong Joseph briefed days schedule to the delegates. Day was spent in visiting the VI AYD venue. At 1130am delegates visited Solmoe Shrine where Pope Francis will be meeting youth and offering Holy Mass. From there after Lunch at 1pm delegates departed to Haemi Castle which is also known as Martyrs Park. Here Pope Francis will be celebrating Concluding thanksgiving Holy Mass for 50,000 people.

From there at 3pm group visited to Hanseo University from this place AYD delegates will take a pilgrimage walk towards concluding mass venue. At 5pm delegates visited Hasang Retreat Centre, this will be venue for Asian Youth Ministers Meeting. Delegates are put up in Joongang Youth Centre. This is also the National Youth Centre run by South Korean government. Meeting is organised by FABC OLF – Youth Desk together with Host Diocesan representatives. Most Rev. Joel Z. Baylon – Chairman FABC OLF – Youth Desk and Rev. Fr. Patrick Simon Gomes – Youth Desk Executive Secretary were present. From South Asia Fr. Philiph Franky D’Souza (India) and Fr. Pius Pohdueng (Bangladesh) were present.
