Shivamogga, August 4, 2024: Diocesan Youth Director Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza met ICYM of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga. At 8am he celebrated Holy Eucharist and preached a homily on "Jesus is the real bread and his blood nourishes us. Which is important for our eternity". He invited faithful to renew their hearts as in the day's second reading;"...be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new self, created in God's way in righteousness and holiness of truth".
After the Holy Eucharist at 10:30am ICYM members gathered for the meeting. Rev. Fr Stany D'Souza led the meeting with a hymn of the Holy Spirit. Three animators were present. President Raju welcomed Fr Franklin D'Souza and others. Fr Stany D'Souza introduced Fr Franklin D'Souza to the youth. Fr Stany D'Souza led the evaluation of the months activity and discussed on Month of August activity.

Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on importance and meaningfullness of Youth life. He spoke on internal strength, which is very important for the youth. He promised them that he is always available to help them out in their inner journey as youth also in their other activities. Then he blessed the youth.
Meeting continued with other agenda of the month.
