Shivamogga, March 30, 2023: Diocese of Shimoga celebrated Chrism Mass on March 30th. On March 29th at 6pm all the priests of the Diocese of Shimoga gathered at Sannidhi, Diocesan Pastoral Renewal Centre at Shivamogga for the recollection.

Rev. Fr Jijo Manjekal MSFS was the resource person for the recollection. He inspired the Diocesan clergy by his talks based on the Bible.

On March 30th day began with Morning prayer at 6:45am to 7:45am.

After the breakfast at 8:45am Fr Jijo Manjekal MSFS gave an inspiring talk on commitment as priests. Then at 10:45am he prepared priests for the sacrament of confession. From 11am to 11:45am confessions were organised.

At 11:45am Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga addressed the clergy. He appreciated clergy for their selfless service to the Diocese.

In the evening at 6pm Bishop concelebrated Holy Eucharist with Diocesan Clergy as well as religious clergy at Sacred Heart Cathedral Shivamogga and blessed Holy Oils. A large number of faithful attended the Holy Eucharist.

Parish Priest Fr Stany D'Souza thanked the Bishop, Clergy and the faithful.
