Shivamogga, March 29,2025: On Thursday, March 27, 2025, Good Shepherd Church in Gopala, Shimoga, hosted a special Taizé prayer service in collaboration with the ICYM and YCS of the parish. It was a deeply devotional and spiritually reflective evening. The service commenced at 5:45 p.m. with a peaceful Divine Mercy Rosary, creating a calm and prayerful atmosphere. Following the Rosary, the Holy Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Stephen Maxi Albuquerque and Deacon Jostro (MSFS), providing the congregation with a moment of sacred communion and spiritual nourishment.

At 6:30 PM, the evening's highlight, the Taizé prayer, commenced. Rev. Fr. Puis D'Souza, director of SMSSS, led this special service with great reverence, assisted by the parish choir and youth members. The prayer service, characterized by its contemplative silence and meditative hymns, brought together hundreds of parishioners in a profound connection with God. The prayer's simplicity and tranquility offered a meaningful spiritual experience for all, fostering a sense of peace and unity within the community.

The prayer service concluded at 8:30 PM, leaving participants feeling spiritually fulfilled. Following the closing blessing, a meal was served, fostering fellowship and shared gratitude in the name of Jesus.
