Chitradurga, Hiriyur, January 29, 2024: Two children namely; Shreya and Prerana received Holy Communion at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga on January 28th, 2024.

Holy Eucharist on Sunday led by Fr Franklin D'Souza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur at 8am. In his homily he explained the meaning of Sacraments and how we are healed through the Sacraments. Holy Eucharist is Spiritual food for our souls. As a Catholic faithful community we are all nourished by the Sacraments. We need to dedicate ourselves in faith to the call of God as Christians.

Fr Franklin D’Souza and Sr Veronica took the catechism of Holy Communion to the children. Mr. Alphonse parent of Shreya thanked Fr Franklin D’Souza and the Parish community. Meals was served for all.
