Shivamogga, March 22, 2024 : Diocese of Shimoga celebrated Chrism Mass on March 21st, 2024 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga.

On March 20th , all the Clergy serving in the Diocese of Shimoga gathered at Pastoral Renewal Centre, Sannidhi, Shivamogga for the Recollection. Fr Jossie SJ preached the Recollection. At 6:15pm he spoke on 'Interiority'. At 7:15pm he led the adoration.

On Day 2, March 21st at 9am, Fr Jossie SJ dealt with 'Discernment in troubled times'. At 10:30am confessions were organised. At 12pm Bishop Francis Serrao SJ addressed his Clergy and gave his message. Msgr. Felix Joseph Noronha, Vicar General of Diocese of Shimoga thanked the preacher and Bishop Francis for organising the Recollection. He also thanked Sannidhi Director Msgr. Duming Dias.

In the evening at 5:30pm , Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga concelebrated Holy Eucharist with his Priests at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga. Large number of faithful and religious sisters participated in the Chrism Mass. Bishop Elect of Diocese of Karwar Msgr. Duming Dias preached a meaningful homily on the occasion. Bishop blessed the oils and priests renewed their commitment to the Church.
