Chennai, Mar. 11: Fr Franklin Preached retreat at St. Teresa’s Church, Nungambakam from March 8th to 10th. Fr Lawrence Raj the Parish Priest welcomed Fr Franklin & Fr Clement the Chennai Youth Director gave a floral bouquet to Fr Franklin. Fr Philip & Deacon John Lewis were present.

After which retreat began at 6 pm with Parsie & Worship conducted by AMNOS worship team. At 7pm Fr Franklin preached about “Sin & Repentance” he narrated the passage of Luke 15:1-10.  In his talk he stressed that God is merciful & compassionate Father. When we repent he forgives. That is the reason he sent his only Son Jesus. Jesus condemns sin and not the sinner. So lent season is given to us to change our heart and mind, hence we have to come back & experience love of God. He offered Mass at 8 pm after the Holy Eucharist, Healing adoration was conducted by Fr Franklin. There were nearly 400 people witnessed the blessings of Jesus.

On 9th retreat began with praise & worship conducted by AMNOS team. At 6.45 pm Fr Franklin led the group in to short Way of the Cross in a meditative way. At 7.15 pm he preached on “Forgiveness brings Healing”. He explained Mathew 18:21-35. In his talk he stressed that how Jesus thought us to forgive by quoting Mathew 5:43-44. He told that we fall sick if we are in hatred. He said that Forgiveness is not defeat but it is victory. He connected forgiveness to Eucharist. Jesus not only thought but he practiced what he had thought. Jesus himself is peace and he didn’t come to show the way, He himself is the way. Then there was Holy Mass at the end of Holy Mass healing adoration was conducted by Fr Franklin. Nearly 600 people witnessed the healing touch of Jesus.

On 10th retreat began at 6pm with P&W by AMNOS team. Then at 6.45pm Fr Franklin preached on “Love your parents”. He explained from the biblical reference how to get blessings by obeying the commandments. Sirach 3:1-7, Exodus 20:1-12, Mathew 15:1-9. He also explained the importance of parents in our lives. Then Bro. Jeevan shared his testimony with the people. At 8.15pm Fr Franklin offered Holy Eucharist. At the end of the mass he conducted healing as well as anointing adoration for the faithful gathered. Special prayers were held for children, youth, couples & Priest and religious. Total attendance on last day is 1000 among them 200 Youth were there.

Fr Lawrence Raj, Parish Priest thanked the people for attending in large numbers. He also thanked AMNOS team and Fr Franklin for preaching a fruitful retreat. He also thanked Bro. Jeevan who coordinated to organize such retreat.
