Silver Jubilee Celebrations Assumption Kannada & English High School At Hiriyur Chitradurga Dist.

December 15, 2018; Assumption High School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga celebrated its Silver Jubilee in a grand manner. Manager cum Correspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza welcomed the dignitaries.

His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao Sj was the president of the program and he inaugurated the program by lighting of the lamp. Rev. Fr Stany Dcunha, Editor of Jubilee Souvenir organized release of the souvenir 'Belli Kirana". His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao Sj released the souvenir.

Kannada medium HM Mr. Henry Crasta read the report. In his report he enumerated the achievements of Assumption Highschool.

Shri. K. Matthai administrator of 'SAKALA' Mission of government Karnataka was the chief guest. In his address he congratulated Assumption School for wonderful achievements. Another guest Mrs. Poornima Srinivas MLA of Hiriyur constituency. She spoke about how to build the future being in the present. She enlightened parents and Children regarding importance of education.

Rev. Fr Stany Mariyappa is the founder of Assumption Highschool in 1993 Hiriyur. In his message he thanked God for his Mercy towards the Assumption school. Mr. Anthony DDPI of Chitradurga District addressed the gathering.

Rev. Fr. Veeresh Vincent Moras Secretary, Mount Carmel Education Society of Diocese of Shimoga was another guest. In his speech he spoke about what is the real education? Where it starts?. He told it starts in the family. Family environment should be condusive for the children.

Rev. Fr Roshan Pinto, Director of SMSSSS - Chaitanya, Sr. Jude superior of St. Anne's Convent Hiriyur were other dignitaries.

Bishop honored Fr K Matthai, Fr Stany Mariyappa, MLA Ms. Poornima Srinivas, Fr Veeresh, DDPI Mr. Anthony and other dignitaries.

Then Bishop addressed the gathering and blessed the gathering. In his speech he highlighted the importance of education and parenting. Manager and Correspondent Fr Franklin D'Souza honoured the Bishop.

English medium HM Sr. Bhagya Theresa formally thanked every one. Then Cultural program continued.

Teachers Dyanandappa and Ms. T. Anitha compered the program.

Children gave beautiful 18 programs as the part of Jubilee celebrations.
