Shimoga, May 11: Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society (SMSSS) created history by organizing a mega retreat for 600 students of the Diocese of Shimoga for the first time.Fr. Felix Joseph Noronha, Vicar General, of Shimoga Diocese inaugurated the retreat by offering inaugural Holy Eucharist on 7th 4 pm, which was concelebrated by eight priests. Fr Steven Maxi Albuquerque, Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier’s Church – Chennagiri conducted choir. Fr Franklin in his homily explained aspect of sharing and service in Christian life. After mass Fr. Veeresh Vincent Moras welcomed the team and thanked the VG. After the tea Fr Roman Pinto explained the meaning of retreat, and then Fr Franklin conducted healing adoration. After supper Fr Roman led group in to rosary.

On 8th Fr Franklin & Bro. William started the day with Praise and Worship. 9 am Bro. T.K.George preached about love of God. Fr Franklin Preached on Word of God, after lunch Bro. William led the group in to Praise and Worship. Then Fr Franklin concelebrated Holy Mass with three priests. In his homily Fr Franklin explained about the “Faith in Jesus”. Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo visited the students and encouraged them with his words. He invited them to witness Jesus. After Tea break Bro. T.K.George took a session on blessings of parents. Then the team conducted healing adoration.

On 9th Bro. William started the day with Praise and Worship, Fr Franklin Preached about “Sin & its Consequences”, Bro. T.K George preached on “Repentance”, after lunch there was short preparation for confession. From 2.30pm to 5pm 25 priests helped the 600 students for a good confession. After tea Bro. T.K.George conducted inner healing session and adoration.

On 10th Fr Roman & Bro. William started the day with Praise and Worship, then Fr Roman explained how to live our life after going from here. At 9 am Bro. T.K.George preached on “Holy Spirit”, Fr Veeresh offered Holy Mass and thanked God, Bro. T. K. George conducted “Anointing Session”. Priests laid the hands and prayed for the students.
