Shivamogga, June 25, 2024: Carmel Deanery Meeting was held on June 24th at 5:30pm. Dean & Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Cathedral Very Rev. Fr Stany D'Souza organised the meeting.

At 5:30pm Fr Nelson D'Souza, HM of Loyola English High School, Shivamogga, led the prayer service for half an hour together with other Priests.

Then at 6pm Fr Santhosh Almeida, Parish Priest of St. Anthony's Church, Karehalli, welcomed the gathering. New members; Fr Simon Pinto - Director for all Commissions,
Fr Francis Noronha - Campus Director of Sacred Heart Schools, Fr Franklin D'Souza - Youth Director and Fr Nelson D'Souza - HM of Loyola English High School were welcomed with the rose.

Fr Franklin D'Souza, gave an inspirational as well as motivational talk. He based his talk on John 15:1-15. He stressed that how we have to be mission oriented in our lives. He made the gathering to reflect on three aspects by saying there are three types of people everywhere. First, Come and go people, second, Let me do something and third type, Why not I?. He said we all have vision of Jesus and all work together for common goal. We need to coordinate and cooperate with one another for the success of the mission given by the Lord Jesus to us.

Then the meeting was led by the Dean Fr Stany. Fr Nelson D'Souza was unanimously elected as the new Secretary of the Deanery. Then he read the report of the previous meeting.

Fr Stany D'Souza conducted evaluation of the Deanery plan and spoke on action plan for coming months.
