Shivamogga, January 13, 2025: The newly elected ICYM DEXCO's first meeting was held at Yuvamitra, Shivamogga, on January 12, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The meeting began with a prayer led by ICYM President Mr. Suhas Martin, followed by a Bible reading and a reflection from youth director Rev. Fr. Franklin D'Souza. Then, current president Suhas Martin welcomed the gathering. Ms. Priya, Mr. Clawin, and Mr. Stephen from the former team were also present.

The meeting began with introductions. Then, the meeting's agenda was presented. Rev. Fr. Franklin D'Souza nominated Mr. Stephen for the post of Joint Secretary and as editor of the youth magazine "Moggu", with the consent of the gathering.

An action plan for the year 2025 was discussed and planned accordingly. Criteria for the Yuva Sourabha rolling trophy were discussed and finalized. Various competitions and their criteria were also discussed. A night vigil prayer on March 8, 2025, and the celebration of National Youth Sunday on August 10, 2025, were decided to be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shimoga, at the diocesan level. Organizing and participating in social welfare activities were also discussed. The meeting concluded with a Holy Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Franklin D'Souza. In his homily, he reminded participants of the call and promises of the Sacrament of Baptism. He led the concluding prayer of "Yuva Chethana Yaatre".
