Shivamogga, January 7, 2025: The newly elected YCS/YSM DTS—DEXCO meeting was held at Yuvamitra, Shivamogga, on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

YCS/YSM Chaplain Fr. Franklin D'Souza led the prayer. Then, YCS/YSM President Mr. Alwyn welcomed everyone.

Fr. Franklin D'Souza gave an input on YCS/YSM, its history, aim, methodology, cell meetings, and spirituality. Then, he facilitated a group discussion. They shared their views freely on the subject.

Mr. Steven Lobo, former YCS/YSM president, shared his experience as a YCS member. As a youth, he shared how YCS/YSM helped in his growth as a youth leader.

Then, the DTS discussed future programs for the coming year.

YCS/YSM is Young Christian Students (in parishes)/Young Students Movement (in schools), which imparts human values in young lives.

At 1:30 p.m., Fr. Franklin D'Souza celebrated Holy Eucharist and spoke on the importance of the Incarnation of Lord Jesus Christ and the Solemnity of Epiphany.

Meals were served for all. Everyone dispersed at 3 p.m.

The following YCS/YSM officers were present: President Alwyn Karehalli; Vice President Josephine Sadhana (Sharavathinagar); Secretary Priya D'Souza (Tirthahalli); Media Secretary Sandesh Pinto (Sagar); Boys' Representative Abhilash (Sharavathinagar); Girls' Representative Renisha D'Souza (Mavinkere); and Regional Council member Samson D'Souza.
