June 3rd, 2018 : The oath taking ceremony of newly appointed youth Director of Diocese of Shimoga Fr.Pius D'souza was held on 3/6/18 at Yuvamithra office shimoga at 4pm.

He took charge in the presence of Diocesan bishop and also the chairman of 'Yuvamithra' youth commission of Shimoga Most. Rev. Dr.

Former youth Director Fr.Franklin D'souza, Outgoing Director Fr.Ronald Veigas, Diocesan Procurator Fr.Venas Praveen Colaco, Parish Priest of Nagar Parish Fr.Santhosh Pereira witnessed the ceremony.

Diocesan ICYM president Gagan Raj, Diocesan YCS president Johnson, Regional YCS president Sonia Nazareth, NEXCO member Clasious Rodriguez were present.

Bishop Francis appreciated the services of Fr. Ronald Veigas and welcomed new Director. Both of them were felicitated by the youth council.

Fr. Pius D'Souza hails from Hosanagar, he served two years as assistant at St. Joseph's Church Sagar. Then he was appointed Parish Priest of Our Lady of Victories Church, Nagar together with Commission if SCC. He is also a well known preacher brought many people to the love of Christ.

There were 70 youth as well as parishioners were present.
