Jan. 12-13, 2018: Agra Region organized Regional Training Programme at St. John Mary Vianney School, Uttretia, Lucknow. Fr. Franklin D'Souza the Former Secretary of CBCI Office for Youth from the Diocese of Shimoga was the Resource Person. Regional Youth Director Fr. Peter Anthony welcomed Fr Franklin D'Souza. He inaugurated the program at 2:30 p.m. At 3:30 p.m. he led the first session on "Our existence is for the Church and Society". At 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. he spoke on "Who is a LEADER?". At 6:30 p.m. Bishop Gerald Mathias of Lucknow offered the Holy Eucharist and prayed for the program.
On 13th Fr Franklin D'Souza offered Holy Eucharist at 7 a.m. He preached homily on "Youth witness the love of Christ". In his first session at 9 a.m. he spoke on "Youth ministry in the Parish, Diocese and in the region". From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. he led the workshop and made youth to realize that sincerity and honesty in leadership is very important. He invited inculcate Divine values in the leadership then we are able to love all as our brothers and sisters. He explained Gospel Values. After the lunch break at 3 p.m. he spoke on "Youth Spiritually". He blessed the youth and prayed for their regional election which will be held on January 14th. There were 80 youth leaders from 12 Dioceses of the Agra Region.
