June 19th 2022: Diocese of Shimoga gets a Minor Seminary at Hiriyur - Bhadravati. It's a long standing dream of Mission Diocese of Shimoga to have its own Minor Seminary. Bishop Francis Serrao SJ ever since he took over as the Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga shown personal interest for the vocation and formation of the seminarians. Hence he began Apostolic House for the candidates. Now same house is turned in to Minor Seminary for the Diocese of Shimoga.

Bishop Francis Serrao SJ inaugurated the Minor Seminary with Inaugural Holy Eucharist on Corpus Christi feast. Rev. Fr Santhosh Pereira is appointed as its first Rector. Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque, Chancellor of the Diocese was present at the ceremony.

Diocese of Shimoga needs vocations, kindly pray for the vocations and support through sponsoring the seminarians formation.
