Chitradurga, Hiriyur, March 7, 2024: Assumption English Higher Primary Medium 7th Students' Farewell of 2023-24 was held at Assumption Hall, Hiriyur on March 7th from 10:00am to 11:30pm.
Manager and Corresspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza was the president of the program. Principal of Assumption English High School Rev. Fr Alphonse Nelson D'Souza was the Chief guest. HM of Assumption Kannada Primary School Rev. Sr. Veronica, HM of Assumption English Primary School Rev. Sr. Martha and Assumption Kannada High School HM Mr. Henry Crasta were present for the Farewell.
Program began with Prayer Song by the 7th Standard Teachers & Students.
Students Aaryan and Shreya welcomed the dignitaries.
Students; Pheebhi Aksha & Varshitha shared their experiences being in Assumption campus for 10 years.
Cultural programme was presented the 5th, 6th and 7th standard. Students Angel, Bindushree, Ananya & Jinangi demonstrated the Karate Skills.
Rev. Fr Nelson D'Souza in his speech highlighted about the decisions that we make in life is very important. He said that students should remember three things; School, Parents and Teachers. Through School we gain knowledge and wisdom. Farewell is not for education but to go ahead in life with perseverance. Parents are our real models, students should remember their hardwork and dedication. They should love and honour them always. Teachers are like Potter who moulds the clay. What we are today it is because of our Teachers. He said that students should give respect and have good rapport with them.
He also spoke on three alphabets A, B & C. A for Age, B for Beauty and C for Character. Age and beauty will pass away but good character will keep us young and beautiful within.
Manager and Corresspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza highlighted on Discipline in life. He said that life is a struggle and fight. We have to fight with ourselves that with our Ego, Laziness, Selfishness and indiscipline. We should defeat these things and become achievers. He gave the tips to how we should become self conscious and self confident in lives. He also said that knowledge should make us responsible students. He blessed the outgoing students and prayed for their success.
He appreciated the discipline and well organised Farewell by HM and the Staff.

Meal was served for all. Thus Farewell to the SSLC students concluded at 12:30pm.
