National level

Belthangady, Oct 4 : On September 28 -30, 2012 Karnataka Regional Youth Commission/ICYM conducted three days convention at Belthangady Diocese. There were 1200 youth on the three days and final day 5000 youth gathered to conclude the convention. From the CBCI Office for Youth/ICYM National Youth Director Fr. Franklin D’Souza &ICYM National General Secretary Mr. Titu Thomas represented. Convention began on 28th at 10 am by holy Mass celebrated by Most Rev. Henry D’Souza, KRYC Chairman & Bishop of Bellary.

Various sessions were organized on the the theme “Transformed by Faith; Transforming the World”. Final day peace rallyw as organized by the KRYC, Honorable Minister Mr. Vincent Pala flagged off the rally. Rally was concluded with the public gathering at 11 am. Honorable Minister Mr. Veerappa Moily, Parliamentarian Mr. Oscar Fernandes, Local MLA Mr. Vasant Bangera, Mr. Ronald Colaso and the 13 bishops of the region were the chief guests on the Dias. Most Rev. Bernad Moras, KCBC Chairman & Archbishop of Bangalore appreciated the effort of the regional youth convention.

At 3pm Archbishop celebrated the thanks giving Holy Eucharist and declared that next Youth convention will be at Mysore Diocese. Belthangady Diocese handed over the flag to Mysore Diocese.Regional Youth Director Fr. Mari Joseph thanked everyone.
