February 21, 2022 : Shimoga Diocesan Pre-Synod took place on February 21 st at SANNIDHI (Diocesan Pastoral Centre) under the leadership of Bishop Francis Serrao SJ.

Members present for the meeting were;  Consultors, Senate Fathers, Diocesan Pastoral Commission members, Docesan Finance Committee members, Religious, Directors of various Commissions, Presidents of Associations. In all 65 participated in the final phase of the consultation at the Diocesan level.

During the Pre-Synod, the consolidated reports of the deaneries were again looked into in 5 groups. The Diocesan Synod Team will again sit together to finalise the reports, indeed considering deletions, additions as recommended in the groups on the Pre-Synod day.

The Bishop in his final remarks pointed out that consultation shall continue at all levels - associations, meetings, etc.The Diocesan Synod Team will present the final draft shortly.
