Diocesanal Level

August 15, 2019; Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga, began their feast with Flag hoisting. At 6:30pm Bishop Francis Serrao Sj blessed the flag and hoisted the flag. Then he concelebrated Holy Eucharist with six Priests. In his homily he spoke on "tree which deceived Eve and tree which saved us: the Cross". He stressed the role of Mother Mary in the history of salvation. Parish Priest Fr Franklin D'Souza thanked everyone. Assistant Fr Nelson D'Souza led the choir.
