August 16,2019; Second days Novena at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga began at 6pm with Rosary and procession. Faithful prayed through rosary to Triune God to save us from calamities. Fr Franklin D'Souza led the novena prayers and blessed the faithful. At 6:45pm Rev. Fr Anthony Peter Celebrated Holy Eucharist and preached on "Assumption Mother inspiration for the children". He explained from the scripture role of Mother Mary and importance of her intercession. How she inspires children, Youth and elders. Parish Priest Fr Franklin D'Souza thanked him and Assistant Parish Priest Fr Alphonse Nelson D'Souza honored him.
