Jan. 01, 2018: St. Thomas Church, Davanagere, welcomed New Year 2018 and celebrated Mary Mother of God feast. December 31st night 11p.m. Shimoga Diocesan Family Counseling Center Director Fr Franklin D'Souza led the Adoration. He thanked God for the year 2017 and welcomed 2018.
At 12:15 a.m. he celebrated Holy Eucharist together with Parish Priest Fr Steven D'Sa and Assistant Fr Barthalomeo. He preached homily on how to receive blessings of God. He said that God's blessings flows through Jesus the Savior. We have to experience blessings through prayer, by reading Bible and through obedience to the will of God. He also stressed the importance of Mother Mary in the salvation history. Parish Priest Fr Steven D'Sa thanked Fr Franklin D'Souza.
