August 14, 2022: Fr Roman Pinto, Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier's Church, Kable, Diocese of Shimoga and Bro. William D'Souza preached three days retreat at Our Lady of Assumption Church Hiriyur. Parish Priest Fr Franklin D'Souza welcomed the team.

Retreat began on August 12th at 6pm with Praise and worship led by Bro. William D'Souza. At 6:30pm Fr Roman Pinto spoke on "Let your light shine". He spoke on three types of death. Namely; Physical death, Spiritual death and Eternal death. He also spoke on how to sustain in spiritual life. At 7:30pm during Holy Eucharist in his homily he spoke on "Seven words that Mother Mary obeyed from the Bible". At 8:30pm he led the healing adoration. Retreat concluded at 9pm.

On 13th 12th at 6pm with Praise and worship led by Bro. William D'Souza. At 6:30pm Fr Roman Pinto spoke on "Why we have to trust in God?". He said God knows our name. God always thinks about us. God will fight for us. God provides us. God has a plan for us and God is with us. During Holy Eucharist at 7:30pm in his homily he spoke on "why we have to honour Mother Mary?. He spoke on how seperated brothren misunderstand about Mary. He also explained from the Bible reasons that we honour her. At 8:30pm he led the healing adoration. Retreat concluded at 9pm.

On August 14th at 7:30am Praise and worship was led by Bro. William D'Souza and Fr Franklin D'Souza. At 8:30am Fr Roman Pinto spoke on "Importance of reconciliation". He prepared faithful for the confessions. At 9:30am confessions were organised for the faithful. Meantime Bro. William D'Souza led the adoration. At 11am Fr Roman Pinto led the anointing session. He prayed over the faithful.

During the Holy Eucharist at 12pm in his homily Fr Roman Pinto spoke on "how to sustain in spiritual life?" He suggested various biblical passages how to be strong in faith and in prayer life.

Parish Priest of Our Lady Assumption Church, Hiriyur Fr Franklin D'Souza thanked Fr Roman Pinto and Bro. William D'Souza. Assistant Fr Alphonse Nelson D'Souza honoured them with a shawl and garland. Retreat concluded at 1:30pm. Meals was served by a devotee to all.
