Our Lady of Assumption Church Parishioners bid Farewell to Fr Franklin D'Souza and Fr Nelson D'Souza

Chitradurga, Hiriyur, June 9, 2024: Parishioners of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga bid Farewell to their Parish Priest Fr Franklin D'Souza and Assistant Parish Priest Fr Nelson D'Souza, on June 9th.

Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Council together with other Associations and Parish Community organised the Farewell Program.

PPC Representative to the Diocese Mr. Victor Raj led the program. PPC member Mrs. Rosaline Crasta spoke felicitatory words about both the priests. On behalf of Parishioners Mr. P. S. Joseph shared the opinion. On behalf of Youth Mr. Vinod Sebastian shared his opinion. On behalf of the Legion of Mary Mrs. Monica Victor shared her opinion.

Then Parishioners honoured Fr Franklin D'Souza and Fr Nelson D'Souza for their selfless services they rendered to the Parish.

Fr Franklin D'Souza thanked Parishioners for their love and prayers. He said that whatever that he has done it's all because of Jesus. He thanked God for sending him to Hiriyur as Parish Priest. Fr Franklin D'Souza served the Parish from October 1st 2018 to till date.

Fr Nelson D'Souza who came to Hiriyur as Assistant Parish Priest on April 2019. He also thought in the school then he was appointed as HM of Assumption English High School. He also shared his memories how God led him in his journey at Hiriyur.

Then Fr Franklin D'Souza blessed the people with a prayer. Breakfast was served for all.
